A Place Without Time

This beach scene is at Second Beach on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. It was a glorious day when we visited and the water was crystal clear. There was no-one else around at the time and I took a moment to take in the beautiful colours of the ocean and appreciate the quiet and calmness around me. Time literally seemed to stop and I loved every minute of it.

I am an Adelaide based artist and have been painting since 2017. I specialise in bird and pet portraits using acrylic paint. I have undertaken art courses and continue to attend various art workshops broadening my knowledge about different subject matters and painting techniques. I have also participated in various art exhibitions over the years.

My style is realism as I prefer to paint from my own reference photos, particularly of animals and landscapes. I take great pride in my work and spend many hours trying to make my artwork look as realistic as possible. Occasionally, I will paint in an abstract style if my paint brush takes me there.

I am passionate about painting and couldn’t imagine my life without it. With all the stress, uncertainty and craziness of life, I hope my paintings bring happiness to those who see them.
