Artwork Description

This painting is of part of the remains of a shipwreck named Ethel which is located on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. The ship was heading for Port Adelaide from South Africa in 1904 but never made it. Sadly, there is not much remaining of the ship due to erosion, but it is still a popular tourist attraction.

Artist Bio

Thank you for taking the time to look at my artwork.

I am an Adelaide based artist and have been painting since 2017. I specialise in acrylic paint. I have undertaken art courses and continue to attend various art workshops broadening my knowledge about different subject matters and painting techniques. I have also participated in various art exhibitions over the years.

My style is realism as I prefer to paint from my own reference photos, particularly of animals and landscapes. I take great pride in my work and spend many hours trying to make my artwork look as realistic as possible. Occasionally, I will paint in an abstract style if my paint brush takes me there.

I am passionate about painting and couldn’t imagine my life without it. With all the stress, uncertainty and craziness of life, I hope my paintings bring happiness to those who see them.
