Artwork Description

The Silvereye Finch is a small bird native to Australia. It is found in many different habitats from forests to urban gardens. It is called a “Silvereye” because of the white ring of feathers that surround its eye. I have not seen this bird in its natural environment as yet.

Artist Bio

Thank you for taking the time to look at my artwork.

I am an Adelaide based artist and have been painting since 2017. I specialise in acrylic paint. I have undertaken art courses and continue to attend various art workshops broadening my knowledge about different subject matters and painting techniques. I have also participated in various art exhibitions over the years.

My style is realism as I prefer to paint from my own reference photos, particularly of animals and landscapes. I take great pride in my work and spend many hours trying to make my artwork look as realistic as possible. Occasionally, I will paint in an abstract style if my paint brush takes me there.

I am passionate about painting and couldn’t imagine my life without it. With all the stress, uncertainty and craziness of life, I hope my paintings bring happiness to those who see them.
