This piece is influenced by classical sculpture and Renaissance figure studies, where artists like Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci focused on the perfection of the human body. The emphasis on anatomy and the use of light to highlight the musculature recalls Renaissance figure drawings, while the minimalist approach to the background reflects a more contemporary, modernist influence, where the focus is entirely on the human form as a work of art in itself.
