Welcome to my Bluethumb page!
My name is Natallia, and I live in rural Victoria. With a lifelong passion for nature, I began painting as a child. My early artworks were large-scale coloured pencil drawings of animals.
A degree in biology and chemistry deepened my understanding of the natural world. During my biology studies, I developed a keen eye for detail as I was required to create detailed scientific illustrations. This rigorous training, similar to the work of botanical artists and early explorers, instilled in me a deep appreciation for the intricacies of the natural world and honed my observational skills.
For many years I worked in biomedical research, and in 2013 I graduated with a PhD degree in Life Sciences. During those years I was an active member of a community art group at the Breslin Art Gallery in Melbourne and also undertook private art lessons. This period marked the beginning of my serious artistic journey. Iโve continued to participate in workshops and courses, learning and growing with every new artwork I create.
My paintings are an invitation to immerse oneself in the beauty and diversity of the natural world. With a focus on realism and a vibrant colour palette, I seek to create works that are both visually captivating and thought-provoking. My goal is to inspire a deeper connection with nature through my art.
As an emerging artist, my prices are currently very affordable for a realist style artist. My artworks found their new home both in Australia and USA. If you have fallen in love with a particular piece, now is a great time to purchase it.
