Oysters are a symbol of abundance, wealth and luxury. They also symbolize sensuality, temptation and the pleasures of the flesh.
My intention in this painting is to celebrate the enjoyment of life but also raise the awareness that nothing is permanent. The juicy oysters are arranged beautifully in platter as if it is served in a dinner party to welcome people to enjoy them. But the party will be over, so does beauty will be decayed.
