Artwork Description

These beautiful Dahlias came from my son’s home in Goulburn. In vibrant shades of oranges and pinks, they made a stunning display in a white vase. I arranged a still life with my mom’s gorgeous Japanese plate and a lemon from my niece - it became a family affair!

Painted with professional acrylic paints on good quality gallery canvas with two coats of varnish to protect the art.

Artist Bio

Flowers bring vitality and joy to any space.
My passion lies in crafting contemporary botanical art that captures nature's essence, with a vibrant and sometimes whimsical flair, drawing inspiration from renowned impressionists such as Gauguin, Matisse, and Bonnard.

I have a background in graphic design publishing and art directing, including illustrating and designing various book titles and garden magazines. After leaving my hectic career I rediscovered my love for painting. I honed my skills at the National Art School in Sydney and the Waverley Woollahra Art School under the mentorship of (late) acclaimed artist Stavros Papantoniou. Supported by art enthusiasts worldwide, I showcase my work on platforms like Bluethumb Online Gallery, The Online Art Gallery Australia and Saatchi Art. Recently I have posted a small selection of prints on INPRNT.

When seeking inspiration, I enjoy exploring art galleries and exhibitions, as well as the tranquil botanical gardens that boast beautiful and ever-changing displays of blooming plants.
