Artwork Description

On one of my regular trips to the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney I ventured along a different path and came across this colourful cluster of various flowers peeping from underneath a sun-dappled bush. Such a lovely discovery! Of course it was an inspiration for my next painting!
Loved the mix of vivid blooms with colours clashing. Think I’ll have to go back again! 😊

Artist Bio

Flowers bring vitality and joy to any space.
My passion lies in crafting contemporary botanical art that captures nature's essence, with a vibrant and sometimes whimsical flair, drawing inspiration from renowned impressionists such as Gauguin, Matisse, and Bonnard.

I have a background in graphic design publishing and art directing, including illustrating and designing various book titles and garden magazines. After leaving my hectic career I rediscovered my love for painting. I honed my skills at the National Art School in Sydney and the Waverley Woollahra Art School under the mentorship of (late) acclaimed artist Stavros Papantoniou. Supported by art enthusiasts worldwide, I showcase my work on platforms like Bluethumb Online Gallery, The Online Art Gallery Australia and Saatchi Art. Recently I have posted a small selection of prints on INPRNT.

When seeking inspiration, I enjoy exploring art galleries and exhibitions, as well as the tranquil botanical gardens that boast beautiful and ever-changing displays of blooming plants.
