Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and I like to see a whimsical, perhaps surrealist interpretation of this holiday. Instead of traditional hearts and flowers, I envision a world where love is depicted through unexpected elements like plants finding love in the garden. The idea of love being portrayed in unconventional ways adds an element of playfulness and intrigue to the holiday. So why not add a touch of magic and wonder to your Valentine’s Day this year with a uniquely quirky interpretation that will surely make your special someone smile?

Flowers bring vitality and joy to any space.
My passion lies in crafting contemporary botanical art that captures nature's essence, with a vibrant and sometimes whimsical flair, drawing inspiration from renowned impressionists such as Gauguin, Matisse, and Bonnard.

I have a background in graphic design publishing and art directing, including illustrating and designing various book titles and garden magazines. After leaving my hectic career I rediscovered my love for painting. I honed my skills at the National Art School in Sydney and the Waverley Woollahra Art School under the mentorship of (late) acclaimed artist Stavros Papantoniou. Supported by art enthusiasts worldwide, I showcase my work on platforms like Bluethumb Online Gallery, The Online Art Gallery Australia and Saatchi Art. Recently I have posted a small selection of prints on INPRNT.

When seeking inspiration, I enjoy exploring art galleries and exhibitions, as well as the tranquil botanical gardens that boast beautiful and ever-changing displays of blooming plants.
