Magnolias are like sails on a harbour. Their sculptural forms unfurl so exquisitely and entice your gaze to follow each twist and turn. Perhaps that’s why they are the painter’s delight. I’m always drawn back to capture their beautiful shapes. This time in a striking yellow oriental bowl, as a complementary foil.
