Nathan Moshinsky has had several solo exhibitions at the Victorian Artists Society and was an exhibiting member of the VAS Council. He has completed a Diploma of Visual Art. Also, he is a regular exhibitor at Contemporary Art Society of Victoria’s exhibitions.
Nathan is interested in the interpretation of visual images of the natural world derived by him through observation and study (and sometimes photography) for the purpose of expressing his emotional response to them. He enjoys working with an image so as to explore colour and tonal relationships, sometimes exaggerating these aspects of a painting or drawing, so as to express his response to the subject.
He works in many mediums- oils, watercolour, oil pastel, pencils, ink and uses the Ipad for sketching. The subject –matter of his work includes the Solomon Islands and George Town Penang Malaysia where he lived as an artist in residence,
Nathan 's art practice also includes abstract paintings in acrylic and oils.
Prizes and awards. 2015 Highly Commended award Contemporary Exhibition Victorian Artist Society. 2012 First prize and third prize for oil paintings at Annual Exhibition Contemporary Art Society of Victoria Inc.
