Copper Griffin

I was inspired by surreal artists such as Magritte and De Chirico and their use of empty space to symbolize the unconscious mind. The shape of the griffin comes from ancient Greece, and I admire the craftsmanship of the sculptor.

I'm a budding artist that enjoys various forms of art, but my primary sources of inspiration are medieval and fauve works. Although acrylic and ink are my primary mediums, I also like experimenting with different styles and techniques. I have won two awards from a local art show, and I worked as a work experience student at the National Gallery of Victoria. Even though it's my pastime, my ultimate goal is to pursue art professionally.
