Artwork Description

Memories of Home is a collection of prints that are created as an ode to my home in India and where my journey into becoming a lover of all things flora and fauna first started.
It takes me back to the time when I first spotted a Paradise Flycatcher from my window when I would collect Ixora and Frangipani flowers fallen on the road on my way home from school.
These artworks are a treasure trove of nostalgia and warm huggable memories that are deeply rooted in my being.
By creating these I wanted to share a little piece of me and my heart with everyone.

Each illustration in the artwork was hand-painted with watercolours and illustrated with pens. The illustrations were then brought into Photoshop to be laid out digitally.

The artwork is a fine art giclee art print, printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 gsm paper.
It is a limited edition of 20 prints.
The artwork is unframed and signed and numbered on the back of the print.

The prints take about one week to be printed and shipped.

Artist Bio

Neha Gupte is an artist, illustrator, and surface pattern designer based in Sydney, Australia, though her creative journey began in Mumbai, India. Her artistic practice is deeply rooted in nature, drawing inspiration from the botanical world that surrounds her.

After moving to Australia, she discovered her passion for prints and patterns, which led her to work in surface pattern design. Working with watercolours, ink, pens, gouache, and color pencils, she creates intricate botanical patterns and expressive artworks that reflect the delicate balance between nature and human experience. Her creative process often begins with walks through her neighbourhood or visits to botanical gardens, where she photographs elements that spark inspiration.

For her, art serves as a sanctuary - a quiet space for emotional expression while creating artworks to reach kindred spirits who appreciate having a child like wonder, a slow life, value artistic expression, and see nature and art as a source of healing and reflection.
