Artwork Description

This work was completed after visiting Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) on a recent trip taken to Darwin. Situated near Uluru , Kata Tjuta is a sacred place and very beautiful. The colours of the landscape of Central Australia are made up of vivid red soil, clear blue skies, and olive vegetation. The climate is harsh and unforgiving particularly in the summer months.
The unforgettable scenery and the sacred nature of this location became the inspiration for this work, to capture the deep blues, violets, reds and oranges of the Australian desert landscape.
