Artwork Description

Abstract Colour blocks, combined with two figurative females in a pose with attitude. tension between the two as if they are tackling a conversation. Acrylic base, layered with oil and many scraping to allow the lower layers to see through. Background layer also has various textures to enhance the abstract feel of the painting. The colour layers and transparent layers in orange, blue and green tones will brighten up a room. the abstract figures will allow an interesting look at the painting.

Nelly le Comte is a talented fine art photographer and painter based in the picturesque Byron Bay, Australia. Originally from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Nelly pursued her passion for the arts at the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, where she studied Fine Art Photography and Art.

Her artistic practice encompasses both photography and painting, with a focus on oil and watercolor mediums. Nelly's work predominantly features portraits and still life, where she masterfully explores the interplay of light and the human form. Through her lens and brush, she captures the essence of her subjects, inviting viewers to reflect on the beauty and complexity of the world around them.

With a unique blend of technical skill and emotional depth, Nelly le Comte continues to make her mark in the art world, inspiring others with her vision and creativity.
