The flow of the brush and use of sponge creates various obscure shapes representing rivers and valleys. The inspiration rarely comes from anything but emotion and feeling whilst I paint. There are subtle uses of colour such as white and yellow to give balance, and the overwhelming teal creates a calming effect on the body.
Whilst staring at this piece, I feel at peace. The is no reason behind this piece but it is an abstract expressionist approach. What you see in this painting is more important than what I see.
