Love Grows Here

This painting was exhibited in Parliament House NSW, as part of the 'Infinites of Blue' Exhibition of local Blue Mountains Artists. The theme was to represent what Mountain life means to you.

From the roots up we are inter-twined. We are connected.
Living in the Blue Mountains is a magnetic connection to the earth, and to Self. These foundations are essential for Love to grow on any level. I have represented this by the Heart-Shaped-Tree, where leaves grow in the shape of the symbol of Love, the heart.
These random, organic shaped leaves dance on the blue background, booming the energy that Love allows us to feel.
Then the leaves dispersing off the trees, represent how Love can be spread far and wide, touching everyone who encounters them. Love truly does grow here.

This is the largest painting I have done to date. It's presence is very striking in person. Photos don't really do it justice.

I adored living in the Blue Mountains until late 2017. It was a magical place where I created lots of lovely artworks.

I’m a self-taught artist, creating in various forms since I could first hold a pencil. After moving to Australia at the age of 8, I discovered that art became my bridge to connect with others as I settled in and learned English. To me, art is a universal language—it brings people together without the need for words. Art speaks for itself.

My passion for painting began in 2011 as a form of healing—a therapeutic journey for my soul. Through sharing my hope, love, and positivity, I found healing within myself. And to my surprise, my art resonated deeply with others.
People connected with the stories behind my work, as we laughed, cried, remembered, and celebrated together. What once was sadness transformed into joy, like a lotus blooming from the mud.
Art became a channel for joy—overflowing into our lives and radiating energy, connecting us all in a beautiful way.
