This painting is inspired by walking in the Cleland National Park and Plein-air colour studies I had done of a gum tree field.
I use an impasto technique that is a direct application of professional quality oil paints onto canvas. The painting has a thin layer of satin varnish to even out the surface sheen and to protect the oil paint.
