'MONTMARTRE - A STARRY NIGHT IN ORANGE AND BLUE'

Oil painting of my favourite building in Montmartre, Paris France. The complementary colour scheme of variations of blue and orange create a mood in this composition. The viewers eye is led past the Parisian street light along the roadway towards the house on the hill in Montmartre.

I was born in Adelaide, South Australia, worked as an art teacher and artist in Victoria and South Australia after completing my B.A. in Secondary Art Teaching in 1982 and B.A. in Design in at the University of South Australia in 1988. I am inspired by my travels overseas to Paris, France and The Netherlands as well as my local coastal community. I enjoy painting in oil paints to create a textural effect with paint brushes and also use acrylic paint.
