Oil painting of my favourite building in Montmartre, Paris France. The cool colours - blue and green add light and life in this composition and contrast with the warm colours of the building and earthy colours of the building's stonework.
I was born in Adelaide, South Australia, worked as an art teacher and artist in Victoria and South Australia after completing my B.A. in Secondary Art Teaching in 1982 and B.A. in Design in at the University of South Australia in 1988. I am inspired by my travels overseas to Paris, France and The Netherlands as well as my local coastal community. I enjoy painting in oil paints to create a textural effect with paint brushes and also use acrylic paint.
