I wanted to create a piece where the geometric style was focusses solely on the face and the rest of the piece was solid block colours.
I originally intended to have the jacket be one side red and one side blue however, after trying this, it took attention away from the face. I married the lilac undertones in the shadows of the face with the jacket/background and I feel it made the piece more cohesive.
The orange and pink undertones in the face make the colours look very rich.
