Oil on wood, ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
This was a concrete bowl out at Nambour on the Sunshine Coast it was probably one of the earliest to go in I think it was in the late 80`s I will have to confirm that.
I use to try and come out here for a skate in my early teens and it was really hard to get out there I remember as only 1 or 2 of my older friends had cars so we use to have to wait until there was a spot on the backseat free to come out. It use to feel like such a massive adventure and the bowl was so intimidating! I only just took my son here 2 weeks ago over school holidays and part of the landscape has changed in the back ground. But in this painting I managed to get an old shot from a friend and I adjusted the painting to be truer to the original back ground.
It is really worn now but still a classic piece of history on the Sunshine Coast and painted in impressionistic style with some bold colour!
Hope you like.
