The Snaefellsnes Peninsula is a region in western Iceland known for its dramatic landscapes. At its western tip, Snaefellsjokull National Park is dominated by Snaefellsjokull Volcano, which is topped by a glacier. Driving through this region with heavy snowfall on the roads was both exciting and treacherous at the same time. This hut on the roadside was spotted out and without any hesitation we pulled up the van and scrambled out for a shot. With a heavy overcast blanket of cloud and a slight blizzard it was difficult to capture this scene, it didn’t look so impressive through the lens of a camera. But then something happened, the winds calmed down and the sun broke out WOW!! Just for a moment the scene was perfect and I fired away relentlessly not wanting to miss this opportunity.
