Artwork Description

Meditations on the shoreline. Painterly muted tones, endless horizons and a nod to the ceaseless energy and rhythm of the ocean.

Artist Bio

After studying Banking and Finance many years ago, Nick decided that a period of travel was required before contemplating settling down to a career in commerce.

Like many a keen traveller, photographs were taken on his extended adventures. When Lonely Planet guidebooks published an initial batch of his photographs, Nick decided that he may well be better suited to a career behind the lens. Many years later he is still taking photos for a living and still taking personal photographs purely for the joy it brings him.

Capturing the many moods of the ocean is his latest obsession

His photographs documenting Melbourne's Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020 are in the collections of the State Library of Victoria and Whitehorse City Council
