Originally from Rotorua NZ and now based in the Illawarra South Coast of NSW. I am a multidisciplined artist with a focus on bright, bold colours and expressive mark making. I like to tell a story through my practice, capturing the joy of being human. With a focus on abstraction, I like to build up layers of colours and texture then stand back to let intuitive eyes take over, "what I see in the paint at that point can become the focus., if it's a female, a couple or a family at the beach I then bring these figures out to the surface".
I want to evoke an emotion through the colours i use and the visual stories.
Art is my therapy, live with Multiple sclerosis it distracts from the pain i live with and gets me out and about into the community.
