Artwork Description

This is the second in a series dedicated to the photographer Bill Brandt. Inspired by the photo titled Kensington Children's Party which was taken in 1934 by Brandt. It captures an innocence and magical quality of childhood, and a time when children were dressed up in special outfits for birthday parties.

Artist Bio

I love art. To me, it is life and gives me purpose in this mad world. And I love art that stirs emotions, and art that gets me thinking . I am self taught, intuitive, valuing sincerity, authenticity, outside mainstream. I would also say I'm into existential art - trying to express the feelings of alienation, absurdity, anxiety and anger within. And lastly I'm into neo expressionist art, maybe a bit of funk too - the smelly outRAGE I feel so often at the injustices. I also like to journey back in time to other artists and be inspired by their work and use this within my own. Thanks for taking an interest here. I've recently joined the social media crazy world , you can connect with my art on Redbubble , Facebook - Nickysouthart and you can contact me directly via email.
Thank you to Bluethumb because they really do give all artists a go and encourage diversity in art :)
