Artwork Description

"Maribel” is a vibrant acrylic painting that captures the dynamic interplay between nature and abstraction. Swirling forms in rich hues of pink, red, orange, and deep green evoke movement and emotion, while delicate white botanical linework adds a layer of intricacy and lightness.

The composition blends fluid movement with rich, earthy grounding tones, giving the work both energy and calm. Textural brushwork adds depth throughout the surface, inviting the viewer to linger on the details. This piece is designed to bring warmth, elegance, and a gentle sense of flow to any contemporary interior.

This artwork arrives unframed, giving you the freedom to choose a frame that best suits your interior style. I personally recommend a natural timber floating frame, which complements the warm organic tones beautifully. However, if you prefer to display it unframed, the edges have been fully painted, ensuring there’s no exposed white canvas and the artwork looks polished from every angle.

Acrylic on canvas. H 76cm x W 101.5cm. Made with love.

Artist Bio

I'm Nicola, an abstract artist based in Brisbane. I work primarily with acrylic on canvas, exploring emotion, energy, and form through layered colour and texture. My process is intuitive but considered — a balance between composition, rhythm, and instinct. I’m drawn to bold contrasts and rich layers that capture a sense of movement and emotion as they develop on the canvas. Each work is an abstract reflection of rhythm and energy, created to evoke connection and bring a sense of calm, curiosity, or vitality to the spaces they inhabit.
