I'm a French-born Australian artist who dabbled in painting since I was a teenager. My mother was an oil painter, and I started on the brushes when I got my first Warhammer figurines and started loving that form of creative expression.
I painted a few acrylic paintings for fun over the years, probably no more than 1 per year, until my children were born, which left me with no time or money to do any art.
Then they grew up, and my situation improved, and my mother convinced me to give oil paints a go.
I had no idea how rewarding this would become! I dived head-first into colour theory and followed a number of youtube artists during the COVID lockdowns, and started really enjoying the creative process, although it's really expensive and at times very frustrating.
