Art has played a prominent role throughout my life, but yet not one I have allowed myself to explore until now. The urge, the desire, the ideas, the imagination has existed and released itself throughout stages of my life, but it is now that I am dedicated pure time and energy to my passion. My grandfather, who I admire was an artist, potter and illustrator, his philosophies on life and creativity have inspired me. Throughout my childhood we travelled extensively, living in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East. Travel is in my bones, I believe I may have come from gypsies! This exposure at a young age allowed me to take interest in people, culture and the world as a whole.
My style is very immersive, the brushstrokes come from feeling as opposed to intention. I am somewhat eclectic, I love colour, yet I appreciate soft tones, I like bold shapes and strokes, yet enjoy the finer details. I let the piece immerge through thoughts and music. I enjoy texture and mixed media, yet acrylic is the one paint I go to most.
