Emus are huge flightless birds and very imposing face to face. Once when I saw them at a park, they ran up and down the fence line making a deep drumming noise. Again, one of Australiaโs fascinating and unique animals. I combined this with an imaginary scene of laden apple trees and distant mountain ranges. Such fun pieces to paint!
