While not originally part of the 'Gilded Wildflowers' collection it takes the same inspiration. I paint wildflowers(some call weeds) and treat them as if they were roses, and tulips and frame them in gold. This work was created during my Artist's Residency in Cygnet at Balfour House.
These lovely little blue forget-me-nots seemed to be popping up everywhere, around the yard and along the highway. Beautiful in close up, amazing en masse. This was my first time painting these flowers and a study for a much larger work.
* This work is framed in lightweight aluminium with a gold finish.
** The frame on this work comes with a stand, perfect to sit on a shelf, desk or in a bookcase.
*** This work is signed on the front of the canvas, on the back of the board and the back of the frame.
