Committed to drawing what is directly in front of me, I very nearly removed the subject entirely before remembering why I was there.This sketch continues the study of childhood memory, comfort, and the alarming influence of cheesecake.

Born in and surrounded by the natural beauty of the Tasmanian landscape, Nicole has been attuned to observe and interpret her world through artistic expression from a very young age. Trained at the Art School of Tasmania and Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney, she works intuitively with oils and experimental media, including natural pigments and Dead Sea mud. Design theory and classical training are broken down and reassembled into a subtly complex visual language that balances freedom and structure. Her work has been exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions, with public acquisitions, commissions, and pieces held in both public and private collections across Australia.
