Artwork Description

There is something quite special about walking the Esplanade at Cronulla on a dark overcast day and watching an ocean that is alive with movement.

I find the incredible colours of the shoreline foliage are intensified when damp on a day with no sun shining. So many purples, rusty reds, oranges and pinks jumped out at me. I really loved painting this one, the looseness and carefree approach with the paintbrush was so enjoyable, and I think itโ€™s one of my first grey day moody pieces.

Artwork is ready to hang and is professionally framed in a contemporary solid oak frame.  The frame in the picture shows the exact style of frame used (thougg a different artwork is shown in the frame).

I use only the highest quality art materials. The canvas itself is custom built and hand stretched.

I am a passionate landscape painter who has been painting professionally for over 30 years. I have had many solo exhibitions and have artwork in collections all over the world.

โ€œI am predominantly a landscape oil painter, enjoying bush and coastal scenes. My landscapes are influenced by many past and present Australian landscape artists, as well as the impressionist and post-impressionist movements.. Of particular interest to me, is the use of colour, light and movement in our unique Australian landscape. โ€˜
