Beach Track

This painting depicts a meandering beach track close to where I live, inviting the viewer
to follow its path and the allure to the sea. The warm hues of the sand and the soft colors of the surrounding vegetation create a soothing sense of peace and serenity. The track itself is a metaphor
for the journey of life, with its twists and turns, ups and downs, and unexpected surprises. My
intention is to inspire the viewer to embrace the beauty of nature and the adventure of exploring our inner and outer worlds.

After two decades as a successful calligrapher and lettering artist, my work is now focused around painting, mainly in oils and mixed media.

I enjoy exploring the different pace this brings to my work. In my painting I am particularly drawn to the quality of line in exploring the concept of fragility - both mine and that of my subject. Words and their meanings and how I relate to them are a continuing source of inspiration.
