Stefanie is a ceramicist and sculptor based in Australia.
Stefanie studied a (BAHons) in Sculpture Fine Art (1st Class Honours) at Edinburgh College of Art. She was awarded the Andrew Grant award for Creative Excellence for her degree show.
She has exhibited across Australia in exhibitions, art prizes, and festivals as well as in the U.S.A and the U.K.
In the U.K exhibition highlights include having her work on display at National Portrait Gallery and Edinburgh Castle.
In the U.S.A her work has been exhibited at Climate Gallery New York, Arch Enemy Galleries, Philidelphia and Grand Rapids Arts Festival, Michigan.
In 2022 her work was selected by 1000 Vases to be part of Milan Design Week.
Stefanie is inspired by the formations and textures of organic matter and seeks to create biomorphic forms highlighting the relationships and interdependency of living organisms to each other. Often her work explores the relationship between mankind and nature.
Her work focusses on texture and fine detail at a small scale, whilst the use of colour is often symbolic of human emotions or biological cycles.
Her work is often influenced by her interests in neurology, human anatomy, mythology and illustration.
