Bird Of Paradise

The inspiration behind this artwork was the Bird Of Paradise that is situated in my garden. I decided to take a picture of it and then paint the flower due to it's unusual name and being that it came from paradise. The painting is painted on a wooden board with a grey frame.

I have been painting since 2010 and have a keen interest in acrylic paints. I paint on mediums such as canvas and wood and paint from photographs taken of my subjects, or upon research of that particular subject, finding the photo and applying my creative, artistic aspect to the photograph found or taken. I have great skill with technique, shadows, perspective, strokes, blending and colour.
