Mini Framed Original with Australian Hardwood float frame.
From the ‘Seeds and Sprouts’ collection!
These signature quirky florals bloom from the earth. Their seeds and pollens are gathered in the wind for natures replanting.
Created by layers of underpaint in soft pastel tones the images are then formed by negative space painting in a rich aubergine.
Fun, modern and playful!
All artwork is finished with a subtle layer of clear gloss finish to enhance the colours with the sides of the canvas blackened and shadowed in my signature vignette style.
Artwork is initialled NE on the front and named, signed, and dated on the back. Certificate of authenticity included
These framed Mini artworks sit flat on any surface. They look great on a shelf or console as stand-alone piece or accompanied by other curios. They look equally fabulous hanging on the wall alone, or in a grouping. Would suit any Modern, Classic, Eclectic or Mid-Century Interiors.

Artist Bio
Hi, my name is Nikki Ellis!
I grew up in a country town in East Gippsland in Victoria.
As a child I have happy memories of roaming freely in the nearby fields and paddocks with my siblings, collecting grasses and flowers and feeling as close to nature as the outdoors would allow.
I held a childhood infatuation with my Aunty Lyn- an accomplished artist and art teacher who indulged us with creative afternoons of painting and batik making, where I believe my inner creative was exposed and nurtured.
Since then I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t creating, refurbishing, decorating or painting something!
I have lived in Melbourne most of my adult life, from the beautiful Dandenong ranges to the beaches of the Mornington Peninsula.
Accompanying my background in Interior Decorating and Visual Merchandising within the Furniture, Interiors, and Homewares Industry, my large-scale ‘decorator art’ has been displayed and sold in furniture stores throughout Melbourne and Sydney for over 25 years.

Now calling MALENY home, on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, I am surrounded dually by ‘beautiful creatives’ and ‘creative beauty’!
My works, at home in modern interiors, are more than a subtle reflection of my passion for interior design. They disclose a fascination with colour and uniformity of design within nature; patterns replicated in sea and on land. The same patterns that we reproduce in our home embellishments. I often have these in mind when I paint. For instance, I can see my mini artworks sitting in creative vignettes on shelving or on a console alongside botanicals and organic objects.
I mostly employ negative space painting over textured layers of acrylic paint and pen and sometimes oil crayons, where the abstract forms of floral arrangements, meandering blooms and organic shapes are slowly revealed. Whilst my artworks are quirky and somewhat abstract, my application is deliberate and finely detailed.
One follower said of my artwork: ‘’these are so joyful! Your plants look really happy, like they are loving life’’

A perfect description and compliment of my work!
