Artwork Description

This work is from the series 'Remember' which examines bodily memory. How the body remembers what the mind forgets. In this image I am exploring the ambiguity of the embrace. Is the arm being held in comfort or restraint. The black background and cropping of the figure heighten this ambiguity and invite the viewer to put their own meaning into the work.
This is a digitally collaged and manipulated work taken from a studio photograph and printed as a giclee print on archival paper.
Different sizes are available upon request.
