This photograph is part of my 'Remember' series dealing with bodily memory. A series of glimpses into a fragmented memory and the attempt at the construction of a coherent whole. Both exposed and hidden the woman hides her face and holds herself close. lost in a moment of private introspection.

Artist Bio

Nikki Willson is a lens based artist who works as a photographer and digital film maker. She creates moving image works and photography at times combining these with digital collage, painting and photographic manipulation. These techniques are utilised in order to create works that carry an ambiguity of space and context allowing the viewer to create their own narrative. Nikki's work is psychological, emotive nd figurative and explores the internal and external worlds of the individual. In her 20 years as a practicing artist Nikki has exhibited in a range of solo and group shows, in the United Kingdom, Japan and Australia as well as in international virtual exhibitions.
