Artwork Description

My work explores bodily memory and experience and I photograph and film dancers in order to capture as honest a visual manifestation of an emotive state as possible. I utilise colour, composition and form to heighten the external expression of an internal moment This is a digital photograph which I have manipulated in order to create ambiguity and to remove situational context so that the viewer can bring their own narrative to the work. The scale of this work and the intensity of colour can be modified slightly through discussion if required. This is a giclee print on archival paper. This work can bring quiet and contemplation to a space.
