Nina Baker is a Perth based artist who works mainly in oil paints because it provides beautiful colours, lustre and depth. Nina holds a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts at Edith Cowan University Perth and has been creating art part time while working as an Art teacher. Many of Nina's paintings are created by a process of building up and scraping back layers of paint, pouring liquid glazes onto the canvas forces me to work with complete spontaneity My inspiration comes from lots of different places of nature in WA ;sunsets, ocean, flowers, trees and also using my intuition. I would describe my art as contemporary.
