Artwork Description

Meditative Mind – Contemporary Abstract Figurative Painting
Presence Within Stillness, Depth Beyond Intention
Meditative Mind is a deeply intuitive painting that emerged without premeditation, revealing a meditating figure organically within the process. The figure was not planned—it surfaced naturally, as if the canvas itself called for stillness. This spontaneous presence becomes the soul of the artwork, anchoring the vibrant energy that surrounds it.
Layered with rich, colourful tones and a strong three-dimensional texture, the painting creates a sense of movement wrapped around calm. The bold colours and sculptural depth contrast beautifully with the serenity of the meditative form, symbolising the balance between inner peace and the complexity of the external world. Chaos and clarity coexist, each enhancing the other.
This artwork speaks to the subconscious mind, intuition, and the quiet power of being present. Meditative Mind is about surrendering control and allowing awareness to rise naturally. The layered textures invite the viewer to look closer, not just at the surface, but inward—mirroring the act of meditation itself.
As a contemporary abstract figurative piece, Meditative Mind resonates with those drawn to art that feels experiential rather than literal. It encourages pause, reflection, and connection, offering a visual space for grounding and contemplation.
Ideal for modern interiors, creative spaces, or mindful environments, Meditative Mind is more than a painting—it is a moment of stillness captured in colour and form. It reminds us that sometimes clarity appears when we are not searching for it, and presence reveals itself when the mind becomes quiet.
Meditative Mind is not planned—it is felt. It is the meeting point of intuition, depth, and inner calm.

Artist Bio

My artistic practice balances conceptual thinking with intuition and spontaneity. I begin with an idea or feeling, but I allow each painting to evolve freely through layers of colour, movement, and gesture. Rather than controlling every outcome, I embrace uncertainty and discovery throughout the creative process.
As the work develops, figures and forms often emerge unexpectedly from the layered surface. These appearances are rarely planned and reveal themselves through the interaction of texture, mark-making, and movement. The element of surprise is central to my practice and keeps the process exciting, as each painting unfolds in its own way.
For me, painting is an exploration of what can be uncovered through freedom and experimentation. It is a dialogue between intention and chance, where hidden imagery gradually comes into view and new narratives emerge. Each work becomes a process of discovery, revealing connections and meanings that were not apparent when the painting began.
