Artwork Description

Blue pansy was created using acrylic paint on loose unstressed canvas. I created layered effects by washing down the applied acrylics, working from the outside in,  in large half circular movements to represent the petals. I let the canvas completely dry before adding another layer.  The piece was then placed on top of a raised central point where I used acrylics and mediums to create the petals and spires from the centre outwardly.
This artwork measures  90x90 cm( once framed) on a large loose  canvas sheet.  This artwork is not framed and will be sold as a loose canvas and posted rolled.

Artist Bio

There's something about the restrained excitement I experience when painting that keeps me coming back for more. To see a piece come together on canvas transcending from the here and now to the realms of forever .
Art tells stories, our stories. Where we've been, what we've seen, but most of all, it takes you into a moment, a feeling, a transcendence from my story to yours . I invite you through my art to step into a moment of time that reminds you of you.
I tell stories with a paintbrush, a feeling, a glimpse , a moment, now captured forever. Escape the harsh realities of our world and come meander with me to a quieter, more peaceful place.
I paint life as I experience it, always looking to escape ,even if its only for a moment. . I see the beauty of creation around me and want to stay there forever.

I'm Jeanine, a Perth based artist, and have done a decade of art exhibitions and shows . I work in all mediums and is distinguished in oil painting and pen and ink work.

I'm a member at Melville art society and paint at Atwell art centre or my home studio.
I've had several exhibitions, am a bluethumb artist and finalist in the 2022 Melville art show.
A highlight of my career as artist must be the commissioned artwork as central piece in “NOAH” , an multiple award winning short film released in 2018 by WASA .Winner of Best Director, best Actor, best Actress, best screenwriter, best picture to mention a few.The global release and success of Noah anchored me in Australia as an Australian artist.
