Flaming Cockatoo

Living in south-east Melbourne I often see these beautiful sulphur-crested cockatoos flying in large numbers and grazing on the grass fields. Theres a beautiful spot on Great Ocean Road too where theyve eaten bird-feed out of my hands. Such a majestic and graceful bird...only fair to have inspired this piece. Ive added more vibrancy and used my fingers to paint most of it. Ive tried to add metallic touches that shine in some light angles.

I would describe my style as moody and whimsical, whatever inspires from abstract to realism. Admittedly I am still finding the style I am best at, maybe a lifelong process meanwhile enjoying whatever comes out on canvas hoping you will find a little magic of your own in them 🌺
I try to use my creative eye in my dental profession as well...yes I am a Dentist too 😁When asked 'why two things?' I say why not.
