Nita Williamson is an accomplished artist, and has spent many years painting with Tjala Arts, in Amata Community. Her mother, Ruby Tjangawa Williamson (1940 – 2014) is a celebrated Pitjantjatjara artist whose work is held in the National Gallery of Australia. Nita worked collaboratively with her mother at Tjala Arts, and today paints her mother's story of Kaliny-Kalinypa (Honey Grevilea) that has been passed down for generations. Nita and her partner Arnold Nipper have strong family connections with Mutitjulu Community, and often spend time painting together at the Walkatjara Art studio when they are visiting.
