I am a contemporary painter working with acrylics and mixed media. I grew up and lived in Central Queensland. I commenced painting with Flying Arts at its commencement in the early 1970s.
I became very involved in the Visual Arts when I moved to the Capricorn Coast in 1980.
I was fortunate to attend many Workshops with well known practising Australian Artists and was the Co-ordinator of the Annual Cooee Bay Art Workshops from 1996 to 2016.
I have exhibited my work extensively in Central Queensland, winning many awards and commendations.
From 2003 - 2014 I was a working Director of the Co-operative Mill Gallery at Yeppoon.
Since 2019 I have lived at Bribie Island where I continue my involvement with painting and Exhibiting.
What I paint is my interpretation of what I see in this place where I live. The clear bright colours and space of the coastal and inland landscape of Central Queensland is the image on my canvas. Although I consider myself to be a representational painter, I like my work to reflect something more than just a photographic image
My work has won Prizes and Commendations throughout Queensland, and I am represented in Regional and private collections in Australia and overseas.
