Artwork Description

The name "Gia" is a girl's name of Italian origin, meaning "God's gracious gift". "Gia" first made a strong impression via Gia Carangi, the ill-fated supermodel whose biopic provided Angelina Jolie's break-out role in 1998. Too beautiful to die, but, too wild to live. In memory of Gia.

A hauntingly beautiful addition to any setting.
Quality floating frame in Natural Tassie Oak.

Artist Bio

Nola Baddeley
Melbourne Artist Biography

Nola has been an artist and has had a love of painting since her formative years. Although having had formal training, her process is still evolving through experimentation of various mediums and subject matter.

The human experience,  flora and romance capture her imagination. She is inspired by the Impressionists and their use of colour and light, but also admires the contemporary artists such as Canadian , Bobbie Burgers and Russian Impressionists, Mstislav Pavlav and Ivan Stravinsky.

Her paintings are mainly bright, painterly acrylics on stretched canvas, often with textural effects.

This award-winning artist has exhibited and sold in several Art Shows, both in Perth and Melbourne, including the prestigious Camberwell Art Show.
