I never understood Geometry in school but I liked it, well to be honest I liked sitting in class and practising my drawing in the form of cubes and pyramids and turning those pyramids into diamonds. It was challenging enough trying to get the lines on my sketches straight freehand let alone adding the equations of Pythagoras Theorem to the mix.
This piece has layers of texture, some of those base layers are revealed using solvent and sanding techniques in various patterns and shapes. I enjoy using bold colours and this piece is no exception, I've never worn beige and neither shall I paint with it. Call me stubborn but I just feel like the world is just a tad 'too' beige sometimes and I will not partake in any of this said blandness.
