When Nora was a young child knowledge of where to find rock holes that still had water was very important and was passed on from generation to generation as during the dry seasons it could mean life or death. The circles are the rock holes - holes made by flowing water wearing away at the rock surface making a depression. These holes can be over two metres deep, though generally quiet narrow in width. The lines are the water flowing into the rock holes.
