"Beatrix" is a pastel wildlife portrait of an endangered Gilbert's Potoroo, shown in its habitat with red native truffles (its favourite food). These nocturnal marsupials were thought to be extinct until it was rediscovered in 1994, at Two Peoples Bay Nature Reserve, WA. It is the most endangered marsupial in Australia and one the world's most critically endangered mammals.
10% of the profit made form the sale of this artwork will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund, to help with their conservation efforts.
She comes framed with a white mat and a grey, timber finish frame to complement her grey fur.
